Veritas Education is seeking dedicated SEN Support Assistants to work 1:1 with KS1 pupils in mainstream primary schools, on-site in Wakefield and surrounding areas. Experience with special educational needs, autism or ADHD is welcome.
You will collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and support teams to implement routines, visual supports and inclusive strategies, helping children access learning and build confidence throughout the school day.
Location: Wakefield & surrounding areas Contract: Full-time, term-time only
We are seeking dedicated SEN Support Assistants to work 1:1 with children in KS1 within mainstream primary schools. These roles are based in on-site SEN provisions, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including communication differences, Autism, ADHD, and social-emotional needs.
You will provide consistent, nurturing and structured support to a KS1 pupil, helping them access learning, regulate emotions and develop confidence. Working within the school's SEN provision, you'll collaborate closely with class teachers, SENCOs and wider support teams to ensure the child's needs are met throughout the school day.
Veritas Education work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
