We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our supportive and inclusive secondary school in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, enthusiastic, and committed to helping young people achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide tailored support to students with SEN, including those with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and other learning needs.
· Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
· Offer one-to-one and small group interventions to support learning and social development.
· Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
· Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement individual learning plans (EHCPs).
· Support students emotional well-being and encourage independence.
What Were Looking For:
Experience working with children or young adults, ideally in a SEN setting.
A passion for supporting students with additional needs.
Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting learning.
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths; further qualifications in education, SEN, or child development are desirable.
