Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is recruiting an ALN Learning Support Assistant in Caerphilly for a temporary role, with pay £14.25–£15.00 per hour. You will support pupils with Autism/ ASD, adapt to individual needs, and help develop academic, emotional and social skills within the classroom.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or 3 CACHE or equivalent.
• Experience working with children with additional learning needs and/or disabilities.
• Experience supporting pupils with Autism / ASD.
• Experience supporting challenging behaviours.
• Team-Teach or MAPA qualifications desirable.
• A patient, proactive and nurturing approach.

Responsibilities

• Support ALN pupils and ASD students in classrooms.
• Provide consistent classroom support and adapt to individual needs.
• Help pupils progress academically while developing emotional, social and behavioural skills.
• Contribute to a positive and supportive school environment.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an ALN school in Caerphilly, supporting with their recruitment for an ALN Learning Support Assistant. The setting is focused on pupils' development, supporting them to make progress academically while developing their emotional, social and behavioural skills.

The school is seeking a passionate ALN Learning Support Assistant to take on this short-term role, supporting pupils with Autism / ASD. The successful ALN Learning Support Assistant will be expected to adapt to pupils' individual needs, provide consistent classroom support and have a positive impact on the wider school.

The successful ALN Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or 3 CACHE or equivalent
• Experience working with children with additional learning needs and/or disabilities
• Experience supporting pupils with Autism / ASD
• Experience supporting challenging behaviours
• Team-Teach or MAPA qualifications desirable
• A patient, proactive and nurturing approach
