Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist educational setting in Haywards Heath. You will work with teaching staff to provide individual and small-group support for pupils with SEND, SEMH and additional learning needs, helping them engage and feel safe and ready to learn.

You’ll support learning, behaviour, and social development while collaborating with teachers to create a calm, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people
• Experience within a school, specialist or support setting is desirable
• An understanding of SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs
• Patient, calm and resilient when supporting challenging situations
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Positive, proactive and committed to helping children succeedA genuine passion for supporting children's learning and wellbeing

Contract Type: Full-Time | Long-Term

Working Pattern: 36 hours per week | Term Time Only

Pay Rate: £85 – £105 per day, depending on experience

About the Role

Supply Desk is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a specialist educational setting in the Haywards Heath area.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with SEND, SEMH and additional learning needs and wants to play an important role in helping pupils feel safe, confident and ready to learn.

You’ll work closely with teaching staff to provide individual and small-group support, helping pupils engage with their learning while also supporting their social, emotional and behavioural development.
