We're seeking a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Greenwich. This dual-role position involves both classroom support for pupils with additional needs and supervising children during lunch breaks.
Your Key Responsibilities
• Provide dedicated classroom and one-on-one support to pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEN).
• Work under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that promotes independence and confidence.
• Assist with physical activities, including PE and swimming, as needed.
• Help manage behaviour using calm, consistent, and positive approaches.
• Supervise pupils during lunch and playtimes, promoting safe and inclusive interaction.
What We're Looking For
• Experience working with children with SEN (ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, etc.) is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, flexible, and proactive approach.
• Passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning.
• A team player with a strong sense of initiative and compassion.
