Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking a flexible SEN Teaching Assistant for Exeter with day-to-day supply across primary and secondary schools. You will support pupils with SEND and EHCPs, assisting teachers to maintain an inclusive, productive learning environment.

Role hours are 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Competitive daily pay (£92.56–£95.00), with a flexible schedule and rewarding impact in pupils' development.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN in school, care, or youth work.
• Patient, resilient, and proactive engagement with pupils.
• Strong communication and ability to adapt to new environments.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group learning support aligned to EHCPs.
• Assist teachers with managing groups and maintaining inclusive environments.
• Support pupils with emotional regulation, sensory needs, and routine transitions.
• Encourage independence, engagement, and confidence across age groups.

• Adapt quickly to different school settings and requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children or young adults with special educational needs (in school, care, or youth work settings).
• A patient, resilient, and proactive approach to pupil engagement.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new environments.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness for one).
• Right to work in the UK.
