Are you passionate about supporting children with complex needs and helping them achieve their full potential?

Do you have experience with SEN or PMLD and hold a valid UK driving licence?

If so, GSL Education Kent would love to hear from you! We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist school in Sevenoaks. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who have severe learning difficulties and physical disabilities, ensuring they receive tailored support to thrive academically and socially.

The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment, where every student is encouraged to develop independence, confidence, and life skills through personalised learning approaches. As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in helping pupils with learning difficulties achieve their potential.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to:

Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with PMLD/SEN, assisting with mobility, communication, and personal care where needed.

Support the teacher in adapting lessons and resources to meet individual needs.

Help pupils engage in sensory activities, therapy sessions, and off-site learning (driving required).

Monitor progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.

Promote a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment.

The ideal Teaching Assistant will:

Hold a full UK driving licence (essential).

Have experience working with SEN/PMLD (preferred).

Possess the Right to Work in the UK.

Have an Enhanced Child DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for a new one).

Demonstrate patience, adaptability, and resilience when supporting pupils with complex needs.
