Job summary

Aspire People in Coalville is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a local school. You will support pupils to learn, grow and overcome challenges, with DBS checks required or willing to complete them.

The ideal candidate will have experience with children or young people, be able to build positive relationships, stay calm under pressure, and work well as part of a school team. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, with a daily rate of 100-105.

SEN Teaching Assistant - Coalville

Location: Coalville

Start Date: Within the next month

Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Daily Rate: 100- 105

Aspire People are pleased to be working in partnership with a school in Coalville who are looking to welcome a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to their team.

This role would suit someone who enjoys helping children learn, grow and overcome challenges. Previous experience within a school is beneficial, but it is not essential. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have experience working with children through other settings.

Your background could include sports coaching, music, children's clubs, childcare, youth work, activity groups or any other environment where you have supported and engaged with children.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Have previous experience working with children or young people
  • Be confident building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Have a calm, patient and nurturing approach
  • Be enthusiastic about supporting children with additional needs
  • Work well as part of a wider school team
  • Hold a DBS or be happy to complete the necessary DBS checks
  • Ideally hold a qualification related to children, education or young people
The role offers:
  • 100- 105 per day
  • A full-time position, 5 days per week
  • A start date within the next month
