Job summary

Mana Education are urgently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants for a growing number of opportunities across specialist schools and SEND provisions in Belper and the surrounding areas.

We are looking for caring, patient and dedicated individuals to support children and young people with a wide range of additional needs across both primary and secondary age groups. Whether you are seeking flexible day-to-day or long-term placements, we want to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience supporting children or young people in UK schools or similar settings.
• Calm, patient and adaptable approach with strong teamwork.
• Passion for supporting children with additional needs and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1 or small groups with communication and independence.
• Assist across a range of needs including SEMH, ASC and other SEND requirements.
• Contribute to safeguarding, classroom routines and inclusive learning.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to enable positive pupil outcomes.

The Role

Assignments are available across a variety of specialist schools and provisions including:

• Permanent SEN Teaching Assistant positions

You may work:

• 1:1 with pupils
• Assisting pupils with communication, emotional regulation and independence

• Relevant experience supporting children or young people OR relevant experience in UK schools
• A calm, patient and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion

Teaching Assistant qualifications are beneficial but not essential for all positions.
