Job summary

Simply Education Ltd is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Cambridge from September. The role involves 1:1 and small group support for children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and other additional needs, helping them engage with learning and regulate emotions.

You'll work closely with teachers, SENCOs and support teams, building positive relationships through consistency and trust.

Qualifications

  • A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
  • Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and other additional needs.

Cambridge 90 to 110 per day September Start

Simply Education is recruiting experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to support fantastic primary schools and specialist settings across Cambridge this September. We're looking for people who genuinely want to make a difference and understand that progress isn't always measured in grades. Sometimes it's measured in smiles, confidence and small victories.

This role would suit you if you have experience as:

  • SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Learning Support Assistant
  • Behaviour Mentor
  • Sports Coach working with children
  • Residential Care Worker
  • Youth Worker
  • Support Worker within children's services
What you'll be doing
  • Supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and other additional needs
  • Working 1:1 and in small groups

  • Building positive relationships through consistency and trust
  • Working alongside teachers, SENCOs and wider support teams
What we're looking for
  • A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
  • Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
  • Resilience, patience and a calm approach under pressure
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
  • A genuine passion for helping every child reach their potential
