SEN Teaching Assistant - Complex Needs, Personal Care, ASD, ADHD (Temp to Perm)

Location:
Meldreth, Royston (Must drive or have reliable public transport access)

Contract Type:
Full-time, Temp to Perm

Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday

Are you an experienced or aspiring SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time role in a supportive and inclusive school?

Aspire People is working in partnership with a specialist SEN school in the Meldreth, Royston area, looking for a committed and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support students with complex needs, including ASD, ADHD, and personal care requirements.

This is a long-term role with the opportunity to go permanent, offering training, development, and career progression in a well-established setting with a stable and experienced Senior Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities:
Supporting students with complex needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and behavioural challenges.

Assisting with personal care routines including toileting, feeding, and mobility (training provided if needed).

Implementing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in collaboration with class teachers and therapists.

Promoting independence, communication, and engagement through a personalised approach.

Managing and de-escalating behaviours using positive behaviour strategies.

Creating a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment for all learners.

What We're Looking For:
Experience working in a special school, alternative provision, or care setting is desirable.

Understanding of complex needs, ASD, ADHD, or physical disabilities.

Comfortable supporting pupils with personal care needs.

Patience, resilience, and a passion for helping children achieve their full potential.

Driving licence or reliable transport required due to the school's rural location.
