Job summary

Smile Education are recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a Bromsgrove primary school. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 3:30, assisting children with additional needs within a busy, welcoming setting.

You will work closely with teachers, parents and students to foster independence and positive learning experiences, in a supportive environment that values safeguarding and professional development.

Qualifications

• An up-to-date DBS on the update service or dated within the last 12 months.
• A teaching assistant qualification or health and social care (level 2 or 3).
• Experience working with SEN children on a 1:1 basis or small groups work.
• Experience working with Primary or secondary school children.
• At least 2 professional references covering the last 2 years of work history.

• Develop and concentrate on building a relationship with the children, staff and family members.
• Constant and consistent communication with the class teacher, regarding progress and potential methods of work.

The SEN teaching assistant role would be working full time with children with additional needs , working Monday to Friday 8:30 to 3:30.
