SEN Teaching Assistant

About Engage Education:

At Engage Education, we’ve specialised in recruiting behaviour focused teaching assistants for over a decade, so we know a bit about finding the ideal school for you. Throughout this time, we have built lasting foundations and relationships with the schools, staff and children alike. We are now looking to increase our pool of SEN Teaching Assistants we can offer to these outstanding schools.

We are looking for flexible SEN Teaching Assistants who are open to both short and long term contracts to start as soon as possible.

Our teaching assistants’ duties can include:

  • Working with small groups of pupils
  • Providing intervention support
  • 1:1 support for SEND and lower ability pupils
  • Strong behaviour management strategies

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Some experience of working with children, in a personal or professional capacity, or in a school with the ability to foster positive relationships between children and adults alike.
  • Bundles of creativity for stimulating and engaging pupils
  • High energy levels with the ability to be calm, nurturing and empathetic.
  • Working with students who have challenging behaviour, attachment and trauma.
  • Passionate about supporting students and their social and emotional journey

Highlights of becoming an Engage Teaching Assistant
