SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary

Location: Brighton

Pay: £89.05-£98.50 per day

Hours: 08:30 – 15:30

Contract Type: Part-time

Supply Desk is a nationwide education recruitment company specialising in Primary and SEND education. We place our teaching staff in day-to-day and long-term placements across Sussex in both Primary and Secondary schools.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner schools in Brighton. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 or small group support for children with SEN, tailoring approaches to their individual learning needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive environment that promotes well-being and development for all students.
• Manage challenging behaviour using appropriate de-escalation techniques.
• Work collaboratively with school staff and adapt to different environments.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children with SEN (including Autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties) is highly desirable.
• A genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of children with SEN.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Current DBS registered with the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
