Job summary

Academics is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our SEN schools in Ashford on a full-time, long-term basis. You'll support pupils one-to-one and in groups, helping them engage with learning and reach their full potential.

The role involves working with children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and speech-language needs, with a focus on building confidence and independence. Weekly pay and ongoing professional development are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs is desirable.
• A caring, patient and resilient attitude with a genuine passion for supporting children.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• The right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside teachers to deliver creative and inclusive learning activities.

• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, teachers and families.
