Qualifications

• Expérience préalable dans le soutien aux enfants avec des besoins éducatifs spéciaux (en milieu scolaire ou de soins).
• Approche patiente et empathique, compétences en communication, aptitude à travailler en équipe.

Responsibilities

• Soutenir les élèves sur une base individuelle et en petits groupes.
• Travailler en étroite collaboration avec l'enseignant et le SENCO.
• Aider à mettre en œuvre les cibles EHCP et les stratégies personnalisées.

Job description

Do you have a passion for supporting children with additional needs? Are you ready to make a genuine difference in the classroom, starting immediately?

We’re working with a warm and inclusive primary school in Ashford who are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

You’ll be supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD and speech and language difficulties, helping them to access learning and thrive in a nurturing environment.

About the Role:

• Full-time, term-time only

• Supporting children on a 1:1 and small group basis

• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO

• Helping to implement EHCP targets and personalised strategies

• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN (school or care-based settings considered)

• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A genuine interest in helping children succeed

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
