Yorkshire and Humber / Temporary / £120 - 180 per day

Teacher Active is proud to work with schools in Scunthorpe that support vulnerable children with Special Needs ranging from Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) to Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). The schools cater to children with needs such as disruptive behaviour, Global Developmental Delay, ADHD, and Autism.

These schools pride themselves on offering support to their students by creating a calm and supportive atmosphere, encouraging young minds to believe, achieve, and succeed. Building strong relationships with teachers helps the school achieve outstanding performance and positive outcomes for their students.

As SEND Teacher, you will work with students in various settings, including outdoor activities and diverse teaching methods. You will be a key figure in their lives, and our teachers strive to find engaging and fun ways to teach.

The schools seek SEND Teachers for day-to-day, short-term, and long-term placements. They offer valuable experience, allowing you to grow professionally while earning at market-leading rates. Our experienced SEND Consultants will help find placements matching your availability, preferences, and skills.

The ideal SEND Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status/QTS and at least 6 months of SEND experience
• A calm and caring personality
• Flexibility to cover last-minute absences due to sickness or training
• Ability to follow pre-planned lessons and to develop your own activities and resources
• Skill in adapting tasks to individual needs
• Effective communication skills with staff
