Job summary

Papworth Hall School is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to deliver personalised lessons for pupils with complex needs in a specialist environment. You will collaborate with a skilled multidisciplinary team to support independence, confidence and a love of learning.

Experience with SEN/SEMH, a QTS or equivalent, and a strong commitment to safeguarding are essential. The role is permanent, term-time, with a start in November 2026 and a salary up to £42,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN, SEMH or complex needs.
• Ability to adapt teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs and to develop IEPs.
• Strong collaboration and relationships with multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons that enable meaningful progress.
• Adapt teaching to support pupils academically, socially and emotionally.
• Develop and review IEPs and behaviour plans.
• Monitor pupil progress and use assessments to inform future learning.
• Promote positive behaviour through nurturing approaches.
• Work with Learning Support Assistants, therapists, families and the multidisciplinary team.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom where every pupil can succeed.
• Champion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing at all times.
