Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a passionate SEN Teacher to join a specialist educational setting in Rowde, Wiltshire, supporting pupils with additional learning needs. You will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons and work closely with Teaching Assistants to provide academic, emotional and behavioural support.

The ideal candidate holds QTS or an equivalent qualification, has SEND experience, and can differentiate lessons to meet diverse needs with strong communication and behaviour

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience working with SEND pupils, ideally in a specialist setting.
• Demonstrates patience, resilience and a flexible approach to teaching.
• Confident differentiating lessons to meet a range of individual needs.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with additional needs.
• Adapt teaching methods and resources to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
• Support pupils' academic, social, emotional and personal development.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants and school staff to deliver individualised support.
• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to personalised learning plans and targets.
• Promote positive behaviour and an inclusive classroom environment.
