SEN Teacher – Outstanding Primary School – Havering

An outstanding primary school in Havering is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team from April 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a well-respected school, supporting primary-aged children with a range of special educational needs, including autism (ASC), speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.

Role Highlights:
  • Full-time, permanent position at an outstanding primary school in Havering
  • Teach and support primary-aged students with a variety of SEN needs
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning styles
  • Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and external specialists to ensure the best outcomes for students
  • Foster a nurturing and structured classroom environment that encourages confidence, independence, and progress
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet their evolving needs
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching in a primary setting, preferably with SEN students
  • Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies, behaviour management, and inclusive practices
  • A patient, adaptable, and compassionate approach to supporting students with additional needs
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS check required
