Job summary

Academics is proud to partner with a welcoming primary school in Cranleigh to recruit an enthusiastic SEN Teacher. You will deliver specialist teaching and targeted interventions across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, supporting pupils with a range of learning needs.

You will work with the SENDCo and external professionals to develop ambitious, inclusive provision, using structured, sensory-based approaches and monitoring progress for EHCP reviews and learning plans. Permanent, full-time role.

Qualifications

• Excellent classroom practitioner with a passion for SEND and inclusive education.
• Strong experience in SEN teaching, EHCP processes and targeted interventions.
• Builds positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
• Reflective and committed to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality specialist teaching and targeted interventions across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Support pupils with learning barriers to achieve strong academic, social, emotional and communication outcomes.
• Utilise structured, sensory-based and multi-sensory approaches to learning.
• Collaborate with the SENDCo, teaching staff, support staff and external professionals to develop ambitious and inclusive provision.
• Enable pupils to access mainstream learning where appropriate, promoting confidence, resilience and independence.
• Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews, assessments and individual learning plans.
