Job summary

Aspris is recruiting a SEN Teacher for Fromefield Manor School in central Frome, Somerset, a new SEN school for up to 30 pupils aged 11-19 with autism and complex needs. You will join a supportive group of partners to deliver high quality teaching tailored to individual needs.

We seek a qualified teacher with SEN experience, capable of differentiating lessons, tracking progress, and supporting students toward accreditation. A comprehensive induction and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with SEN experience and ability to differentiate teaching to meet diverse learner needs.
• Ability to assess and track progress in line with EHCP outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual need.
• Teach using a stage-not-age approach, ensuring learning matches each student’s developmental level.
• Support students to develop core knowledge and functional skills leading to appropriate accreditation pathways.
• Build confidence, resilience and independence through structured and creative teaching approaches.
• Monitor, assess and track student progress in line with EHCP outcomes.
• Provide a safe, inclusive, nurturing learning environment that meets diverse needs.
