Job summary

REESON Education is recruiting an SEN Teacher for ASAP opportunities across specialist schools and provisions in Southampton, Hampshire. The role involves planning lessons around pupils’ starting points and working with the classroom team to support participation and progress.

You will develop accessible lessons and use suitable communication approaches, then review progress toward EHCP outcomes while liaising with families and professionals. ASAP start.

Qualifications

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching pupils with SEND.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one, with safeguarding checks.

Responsibilities

• Plan learning around pupils' starting points and work with the classroom team to support participation and progress.
• Develop accessible lessons and practical activities suitable for the pupil group.
• Review progress toward learning targets and EHCP outcomes, adapting teaching as needed.
• Brief support staff and liaise with families, SENCOs and other professionals where appropriate.
