Job summary

REESON Education is seeking an SEN Teacher for ASAP opportunities across specialist schools in Southampton, Hampshire.

You will plan learning around pupils' starting points, support participation with the classroom team, and review progress toward EHCP outcomes. QTS or equivalent is required, along with SEND experience, strong teamwork and safeguarding awareness. Daily rates range £140-£300 per day.

Qualifications

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification is required.
• Experience teaching pupils with SEND is desirable.
• A reflective SEN Teacher who can assess progress and adjust lessons with purpose.

Responsibilities

• Plan learning around pupils' starting points with the classroom team to support participation.
• Develop accessible lessons and practical activities for the pupil group.
• Use communication approaches, visual resources and predictable routines.
• Review progress toward EHCP outcomes and adapt teaching accordingly.
• Brief support staff and liaise with families, SENCOs and other professionals.
