Underley Garden School, part of the Outcomes First Group, is seeking an SEN Teacher to create an engaging, inclusive classroom for pupils aged 5–19 with autism and learning disabilities. You’ll plan and deliver personalised lessons, collaborating with teaching assistants, therapists and families to support academic, social and emotional progress.

Located near Kirkby Lonsdale in Cumbria, the school values a holistic, person-centred approach.

Qualifications

• Deliver creative, engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to SEN/SEMH.
• Build a positive, nurturing classroom environment and promote outstanding behaviour.
• Assess and track progress to inform planning and interventions.
• Work with colleagues, therapists and families to achieve best outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver bespoke lessons for pupils with SEN and SEMH.
• Support pupil development socially and emotionally.
• Contribute to pastoral support and EHCP reviews.
• Engage with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure pupil success.
