Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate English Teacher to join a specialist secondary SEN school in Walton-on-Thames from September. You will be delivering engaging English lessons to secondary students, with small class sizes and a supportive team.

The role requires QTS or relevant teaching experience, SEN experience, strong classroom management, and a patient, flexible approach. You will collaborate with Teaching Assistants and contribute to EHCP targets and reviews.

Full-Time | Long-Term | September Start
Monday to Friday | 8:30am - 3:30pm

A welcoming specialist secondary SEN school is looking to appoint a passionate and committed English Teacher to join their team this September. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with small class sizes in a supportive environment, helping students with additional needs build confidence and achieve their potential.

  • Deliver engaging and accessible English lessons to secondary-aged students

  • Adapt teaching to meet a range of individual learning needs

  • Create a positive, inclusive and well-structured classroom environment

  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider school team

  • Track student progress and contribute to EHCP targets and reviews

  • Support students' academic, social and emotional development

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience

  • Experience teaching English at secondary level

  • Previous experience working within an SEN setting

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • A patient, flexible and enthusiastic approach to supporting young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
