Job summary

Teaching Personnel are partnering with a co-educational secondary school in Selsey to appoint a passionate Teacher of English to join the department. The role is full-time, commencing in January 2026, with the possibility of extension or permanency for the right candidate.

The successful applicant will teach English to KS3 and KS4, plan and assess lessons, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment. Strong communication and a commitment to student progress are essential.

Job description

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a co-educational secondary school based in Selsey, seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of English to join their successful English department from April 2025 (or earlier if possible).

The Role:

The school is looking to appoint a fully qualified Teacher of English to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will take on the full teaching role, including planning, delivering, and marking lessons. This is a full-time position to begin in Jan 2026 with the possibility of extension or a permanent contract for the right candidate.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
