Job summary

Westminster School in Rowley Regis invites applications for an SEN Teacher at our Special School. You will design and deliver engaging lessons for pupils with moderate learning difficulties and additional needs, using a range of dynamic teaching methods to spark curiosity and progress.

We support students aged 7-19 with autism spectrum disorder, global delay and moderate to severe learning disabilities, and offer a rich CPD programme and Investors in People Platinum Award.

Qualifications

  • Qualified teacher with SEN specialist training or experience.
  • Experience engaging pupils with diverse and complex needs.
  • Ability to design and deliver creative lessons and assess progress.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging lessons daily using creative strategies.
  • Monitor and assess pupils' progress and wellbeing.
  • Support pupils with moderate learning difficulties to thrive and prepare for life after education.

As part of our continued growth, we now have an exciting opportunity for an SEN Teacher to join our Special School. As a qualified, dynamic and motivated teacher, you will bring a genuine passion for making a positive impact in pupils' lives. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to fulfil that ambition by supporting students with moderate learning difficulties and additional needs, empowering them to thrive and ensuring that they are fully prepared and supported for life beyond education. You will design and deliver engaging lessons each day using creative and innovative teaching strategies that spark curiosity and enthusiasm in the classroom. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
