Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Oak Tree School, Truro, TR4 9NH
Salary: Up to GBP40,000.00 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 42.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only
Start: September 2025

As a special educational needs (SEN) teacher, you'll work with pupils who need extra support or require an advanced program of learning to reach their full potential. This includes pupils with physical disabilities, sensory impairments, speech and language difficulties, learning difficulties like dyslexia, autism, social, emotional and mental health needs, or a combination of these. You may also work with gifted and talented pupils who need further challenges.
Your responsibilities include identifying individual needs, adapting your teaching accordingly, and creating a safe, stimulating, and supportive learning environment.
Located near Truro, Cornwall, Oak Tree School offers full-time specialist education for pupils aged 5-18 with social, emotional, mental health, and communication difficulties. The school has recently expanded and achieved a positive Ofsted inspection, providing a nurturing environment with a broad curriculum.

Note: We reserve the right to close the vacancy early if we receive high interest. You will work 80% of your contractual hours for 100% of your pay, with the 4-Day Working Week being subject to successful probation and not a contractual benefit.
