Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a mainstream primary school for the academic year starting September 2025. Location: Bermondsey, Southwark

Salary: MPS + SEN allowance (dependent on experience)

Role: Fixed Term contract

Start Date: September 2025 - July 2026

Closing Date: Friday 2nd May 2025

Do you have experience working within a mainstream primary school or leading in an alternative provision?

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a mainstream primary school for the academic year starting in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a school establishing a dedicated Resource Base to support pupils aged 3-11 with EHCPs or in the assessment phase.

The school is building a strong SEN team committed to providing an inclusive and nurturing environment. You will play a key role in shaping the provision, designing, and delivering a personalised curriculum for learners with complex needs.

We are looking for SEN Teachers with experience in mainstream or SEN settings. Experience with Attention Autism, Lego Therapy, Zones of Reflection, Sensory Play, Animal Therapy, or delivering individualised lesson plans would be advantageous.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead class groups as part of a specialist team, delivering all aspects of the curriculum
  • Prepare and deliver inspiring and creative lessons
  • Implement effective teaching, learning, and assessment strategies
  • Contribute positively to school life
  • Promote a love of learning and support pupils in making progress towards academic and EHCP goals

  • You hold qualified teacher status in the UK or have experience as an SEN Teacher overseas
  • You are passionate about helping children and young people reach their potential
  • You have experience working with SEN learners
  • You possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • You can think creatively and engage positively with learners with diverse needs
