We are working in partnership with a well-established alternative provision in Sutton to recruit a committed and experienced SEN Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator looking to work in a nurturing, student-focused environment that supports young people with a wide range of complex needs.

SEN Teacher - SEN school:

This specialist provision offers tailored education for students who are unable to thrive in mainstream settings, including those with SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and associated behavioural and learning needs. The school is committed to providing a therapeutic and inclusive approach, with small class sizes and excellent support staff.

SEN Teacher - the role:

The successful candidate will:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to small groups of students with SEN.
  • Implement and review personalised learning plans and support strategies.
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with SENCOs, therapists, and support staff to provide holistic support.
  • Contribute to student EHCP reviews and progress tracking.
SEN Teacher - requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status
  • Proven experience working with SEN students, ideally within alternative provision or PRU settings.
  • Strong behaviour management and a calm, empathetic approach.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and a commitment to inclusive education.
