Planning will be tailored to individual needs and emotional regulation, with emphasis on consistency, routine and positive relationships.
A specialist SEN school in Bury is seeking an experienced and committed SEN Teacher to join their team. This role is suited to a qualified teacher with a background in specialist education who is passionate about supporting pupils with a wide range of additional needs.
The school supports children and young people with needs including Autism Spectrum Condition, SEMH and complex learning needs. Pupils benefit from a highly structured and nurturing learning environment where individual needs are prioritised, and progress is celebrated in many forms.
As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering a personalised curriculum that meets the diverse needs of pupils within your class. You will work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and wider professionals to create a calm, inclusive and purposeful learning environment.
Planning will be adapted to suit individual learning styles, communication needs and emotional regulation requirements, with a strong focus on consistency, routine and positive relationships.
Additional qualifications or training related to SEN, such as autism education, SEMH practice or behaviour support, are beneficial but not essential.
The school is ideally seeking a full‑time teacher working Monday to Friday during term time. However, flexibility on working pattern will be considered for the right candidate.
