Job summary

Simply Education Ltd are recruiting for a passionate SEN Teacher to join a specialist education setting supporting pupils with complex needs and SEMH in Buxton. This is a full-time, permanent role offering 40 hours per week and a salary of £30,000 to £44,304 per annum.

You will plan differentiated lessons for Key Stages 3 to 5, adapt learning to individual needs, work with teaching assistants and professionals, monitor progress and help pupils build independence in a nurturing, therapeutic

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) is essential.
  • At least two years' experience in a SEND setting or similar.

Simply Education are recruiting for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist education setting supporting pupils with complex needs and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs in the Buxton area.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5.
  • Adapt learning to meet the individual educational, social and emotional needs of each pupil.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and wider professionals to support pupil progress.
  • Create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor progress, assess learning and prepare reports.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers and external professionals.
  • Promote independence, confidence and resilience in every learner.
  • Support pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and individual behaviour plans.
About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) - essential.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND.
  • At least two years' experience working within a SEND school, specialist provision or similar setting.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach to teaching.
  • The ability to inspire, motivate and engage pupils with a range of additional needs.
