Aspire People is assisting a specialist SEN school in Bury to recruit an experienced SEN Teacher. The role focuses on delivering a personalised curriculum for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition, SEMH and complex learning needs, within a calm, structured environment.

You will plan differentiated lessons, work with teaching assistants and therapists, and contribute to EHCP targets while upholding safeguarding and inclusive practice. Full-time, term-time pattern with potential flexibility.

Qualifications

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Have proven experience working within specialist SEN schools.
  • Be flexible and reflective in teaching.
  • Be calm, patient and resilient in challenging situations.
  • Support a child centred and inclusive ethos.
  • Additional SEN qualifications or training related to SEN are beneficial but not essential.

Overview

SEN Teacher - Bury. A specialist SEN school in Bury is seeking an experienced and committed SEN Teacher to join their team. This role is suited to a qualified teacher with a background in specialist education who is passionate about supporting pupils with a wide range of additional needs. The school supports children and young people with needs including Autism Spectrum Condition, SEMH and complex learning needs. Pupils benefit from a highly structured and nurturing learning environment where individual needs are prioritised, and progress is celebrated in many forms.

As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering a personalised curriculum that meets the diverse needs of pupils within your class. You will work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and wider professionals to create a calm, inclusive and purposeful learning environment. Planning will be adapted to suit individual learning styles, communication needs and emotional regulation requirements, with a strong focus on consistency, routine and positive relationships.

Hours and pattern

The school is ideally seeking a full time teacher working Monday to Friday during term time. However, flexibility on working pattern will be considered for the right candidate.
