Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking an SEN Teacher for a specialist school in Edgware, starting in September. The role is full-time, with pay in line with MPS/UPS, focusing on pupils with profound learning difficulties and complex needs.

You will plan differentiated lessons, monitor progress, support communication and independence, and work with a team of assistants, parents, and professionals to ensure each child reaches their potential. QTS required; experience with SEN is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) required.
  • Experience teaching students with SEN, especially profound learning difficulties.
  • Strong communication, independence development, and life skills focus.
  • Excellent classroom management and safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with PLD and complex needs.
  • Track progress and report on development, adjusting support as needed.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, specialists, and families to support learning.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and school community.
