Job Details:
  • Location: Bristol
  • Salary: MPS/UPS for qualified teachers
  • Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
  • Start Date: September or ASAP
The Role:

As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver high-quality education and support to students with various SEN, including autism, learning disabilities, and emotional/behavioral difficulties. Collaboration with professionals like teaching assistants, therapists, and SEN coordinators is essential to create tailored learning plans that promote each child's development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to parents and carers.
  • Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where students feel valued.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for holistic development.
  • Engage in professional development and training.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (not always essential).
  • Experience with SEN students, preferably in an SEN school.
  • Knowledge of various SEN needs and support strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and adaptable teaching approach.
  • Committed to fostering an inclusive environment.
