Your new company
Hays Education has recently seen an increased need for local Special Educational Needs Teachers in schools around Bristol for day-to-day and long-term supply, with the potential for permanent contracts. As a teacher working through Hays, you will have local work in your area, covering schools that you choose to work in. We are currently recruiting on behalf of a mainstream primary school in central Bristol that is hiring a SEND teacher to work in their resource base. The students present with autism and/or speech and language needs. The school seeks passionate individuals who are confident in building trusting and positive relationships with students to support their academic progress and personal development.

Your new role
We are recruiting a full-time Special Educational Needs Teacher to join the team ASAP on a temporary to permanent basis. We seek exceptional individuals who thrive in challenging environments to work with the school's pupils daily. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting the development of social, life, and independence skills, and eager to make a positive impact on young people's lives. The role involves building trusting relationships, motivating students, and providing individual attention, reassurance, and support with daily tasks as appropriate.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status and be confident in teaching. Hays welcomes both experienced teachers and ECTs who are comfortable working with children and young people with ASD, EAL, SEMH needs, and challenging behavior.
