Prospero Teaching Manchester is seeking a SEN Teacher for a Specialist School in Bolton on a temporary supply basis. You will deliver engaging, personalised lessons aligned to EHCP outcomes and support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.

Holds QTS or equivalent, with experience in SEN. DBS Update Service preferred; commitment to safeguarding and high-quality teaching is essential. Flexible/full-time or part-time opportunities available.

The Role

• Deliver engaging, personalised lessons tailored to individual learning needs and EHCP outcomes.
• Create a safe, positive, and structured learning environment where pupils can thrive.
• Support the academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development of students.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet a variety of communication and learning needs.
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Track and monitor pupil progress, celebrating achievements and identifying next steps.
• Promote independence, confidence, and life skills alongside academic development.
• Follow safeguarding policies and maintain high standards of care and support.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Has experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs.
• Demonstrates patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach.
• Is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs to achieve their potential.
• Has excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
