Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a SEND Teacher for Hull settings, starting September 2026. You will join a range of SEND schools and provisions offering flexible long-term temporary supply opportunities with potential for permanence.

Ideal candidates hold QTS and have experience with Autism/ASD, ADHD or SEMH, with strong classroom and behaviour management and excellent communication. Roles cover various Key Stages with supportive teams and competitive daily pay via PAYE.

Responsibilities

Location: Hull

Start Date: September 2026

Salary: £160 - £230 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a range of SEND schools and alternative provisions across Hull. These settings provide inclusive and nurturing environments for children and young people with additional needs, promoting independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing through tailored learning approaches and therapeutic support.

We are looking for dedicated SEND Teachers to work on a long-term temporary supply basis across a variety of SEND settings in Hull, with the opportunity to become a permanent role in the future. The successful SEND Teacher will be supporting students across different Key Stages with needs including Autism / ASD, ADHD, SEMH and Moderate Learning Difficulties. Opportunities are available on both short-term and long-term assignments, with flexible working patterns to suit your availability.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS
• Experience working with children and young people with additional needs
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Experience supporting students with Autism / ASD, SEMH or ADHD
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
