SEN Teacher

Basic Salary: £28,000 - £38,000

Contract: Full Time, Term time only

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Location: Becker School Batley, Kirklees

About our School

Located in Batley, Kirklees, our new school offers a safe and supportive environment for pupils from 5 to 13 years old. Our network includes several SEN schools across the UK, providing tailored education in a safe, engaging, and achievement-oriented environment. Role Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons within the national curriculum, addressing complex ASC & SEMH needs.
  • Support the class team in facilitating learning and promoting positive behaviors.
  • Report on pupils' progress and concerns, liaising with staff to meet their needs.
  • Supervise pupils during non-classroom times, including extracurricular activities and trips.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and learning outcomes.
Requirements
  • Hold qualified teacher status (QTS).
  • Degree-level qualification.
  • Successful teaching experience, preferably in KS1/2.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEND in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques.
  • Commitment to professional development and learning.
  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
