Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a Towcester-based role. The position supports pupils with Special Educational Needs and requires sensitivity, patience, and a commitment to helping young people fulfil their potential.

A male Teaching Assistant is preferred to support specific pupils, including personal care and positive role modelling, with after Easter start and a full-time, long-term contract in a welcoming school environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
  • Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to monitor progress
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Support with personal care where required

About the Role:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, resilient, and passionate about helping young people reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
