Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated SEN team. You will work 121 with autistic students, supporting a personalised curriculum in a calm, resource-rich setting.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 08:30–16:15, during term time only. On‑site facilities include forest school and extensive outdoor space, with on‑site parking and meals. DBS check and compliance processes apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with learners that have various SEN needs.
• Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners.
• Confidence to support the lead in groups and in different subjects.
• Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team.
• Flexibility in approach to education.
• Experience in SEND settings is desirable but not essential.
• Right to work in the UK.
• GCSE Maths and English.

Responsibilities

• Providing assistance to the teacher as per weekly/daily/sessional planning.
• Working 1:1 with students.
• Providing group and/or individual activities planned by the teacher.
• Working with learners to develop work.
• Supporting learners' wellbeing within the school structure.
• Monitoring and evaluating students' learning under guidance of the teacher.
• Assisting teachers in using management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
• Supporting all learners in planned structured work across curriculum areas.
