Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support primary and secondary pupils with Autism and related needs in a SEN setting. The role involves 1:1 support and implementing a personalised curriculum across a calm, resource-rich site with forest school facilities.

Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30–16:15, term-time only. On-site parking, free meals, and funded training are among the benefits offered by the school and Randstad Education, with DBS compliance and safeguarding

Qualifications

• The ability to work with learners with varying SEN needs.
• Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners.
• Confidence to support the lead in groups across different subjects.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Flexibility in approach to education.
• SEND experience is desirable but not essential.
• Right to work in the UK.
• GCSE Maths and English.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to the teacher as per weekly/daily planning.
• Work 1:1 with students.
• Run group and/or individual activities planned by the teacher.
• Support learners to develop work.
• Support learners' general well-being within the school structure.
• Monitor and evaluate students' learning under teacher guidance.
• Assist teachers with management strategies for a purposeful learning environment.
• Support all learners in planned structured work across curriculum areas.
