Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? A welcoming and inclusive school in Bedford is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.
Location: Bedford
Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, long-term (potential to become permanent)
You will support students aged 11-16 with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning difficulties. The role involves 1:1 and small group support, working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to help every student achieve their potential.
Previous experience in an SEN or support setting
A patient, caring and proactive attitude
Strong communication skills
A real passion for making a positive impact on pupils with additional needs
Availability from September
Training in behaviour management or safeguarding
Experience with EHCPs, sensory needs, or speech and language support
Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, HLTA)
