Job summary

Keyham Lodge School is seeking three caring, experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants (Level 2) to work with the class teacher and support learning in class, including running interventions.

Under the direction of a teacher, you will assist in creating an educational environment enabling all-round development. Experience in supporting learning and safeguarding knowledge are essential, with opportunities for professional growth and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification (Teaching Assistant awards).
• English GCSE (A-C), Level 2 Basic Skills Literacy.
• CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Child Care and Education.
• Experience of supporting teaching and learning in a formal setting.
• Knowledge of child protection and health and safety procedures.
• Ability to present information effectively, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide specialist support to pupils with identified disabilities to access the curriculum.
• Support wellbeing by adapting activities under guidance of teachers.
• Provide full-time supervised support for individual pupils and groups inside and outside the classroom.
