Job summary

Veritas Education is seeking passionate SEN Support Assistants to join a welcoming specialist primary setting in Billingham, starting after the October half-term.

You will support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, help with personalised learning activities, and work with teaching staff to support communication, independence and emotional regulation for children with PMLD, autism and other needs.

SEN Support Assistant

Veritas Education is looking to build a strong team of SEN Support Assistants to work within a welcoming specialist primary setting in Billingham, with opportunities starting after the October half-term.

The setting supports primary-aged children with a range of learning difficulties, including PMLD and autism, with pupils following personalised learning pathways based on their individual needs and development.

The curriculum has a strong focus on communication, cognition, personal, social and emotional development, and physical development, delivered through four different pathways. Depending on the pathway, pupils may require sensory-based learning and high levels of adult support, structured and hands-on learning, or a more formal adapted National Curriculum approach.
