Job summary

Randstad Education seeks a compassionate SEN Supply Teacher for Taunton to support both Primary and Secondary environments. You will deliver differentiated lessons and provide tailored support for pupils with SEMH, ADHD, ASC, and learning disabilities across EYFS to KS4.

Role involves collaboration with TAs, HLTA, and SENCOs to implement IEPs, while maintaining safeguarding standards. QTS/QTLS and an Enhanced DBS on Update Service are required or pending.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) is required.
• Experience working with children or young people with SEN needs (SEMH, ADHD, ASC, learning disabilities) is essential.
• Flexibility to work across Primary and Secondary settings at short notice.
• Excellent communication, resilience, patience and a calm, empathetic approach under pressure.
• DBS on Update Service (or willingness to apply for one) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to diverse SEN needs across EYFS and KS1-4.
• Provide specialist support for SEMH, ADHD, ASC and learning disabilities.
• Use positive behaviour strategies and trauma-informed approaches to maintain a safe classroom.
• Collaborate with HLTA/TA and SENCOs to deliver IEPs.
• Maintain safeguarding standards and follow school policies.
