Job summary

Vision for Education is recruiting a SEN Student Support Assistant in Sevenoaks to support children and young people aged 4-19 with physical disabilities and learning needs. The role covers personal care, mobility, learning support, and independence within the school day and residential provision.

You'll work alongside teachers, therapists and care staff to create a safe, positive learning environment and help pupils engage across lessons and activities.

Qualifications

• Have relevant experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable adults.
• Care experience and a caring, patient attitude are important.
• Moving & Handling training completed, Makaton desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in lessons and around school.
• Provide personal care and intimate care as required.
• Assist with Moving & Handling using specialist equipment.
• Support communication and independence for learners.
• Work alongside teachers, therapists and care staff.
• Help create a safe, positive learning environment.
