Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking an SEN Sports Coach in High Wycombe to support pupils aged 7-19 with complex needs in a specialist school setting. The role focuses on delivering adapted sport sessions and helping pupils gain confidence and independence.

You will work with teachers and a multidisciplinary team to tailor activities, track progress, and promote communication, wellbeing and physical development within the school's broader curriculum.

Qualifications

• Patient and reliable with ability to adapt approaches for individual pupils.
• Ability to follow safeguarding procedures and work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience delivering structured sports sessions for pupils with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and supporting structured sports and physical activity sessions for pupils with additional needs.
• Adapting activities to individual physical, sensory, communication and cognitive needs.
• Encouraging movement, exercise, games and recreation to build confidence.
• Supporting pupils to develop gross motor skills, coordination and balance.
• Using sport to foster communication, interaction and positive relationships.
• Collaborating with teachers and specialists to support pupil outcomes.
• Maintaining a calm, encouraging approach to support regulation.
• Helping pupils gain independence through structured activities.
