Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking dedicated SEN Specialist Tutors to provide personalised, one-to-one outreach tuition to secondary-aged students across London from Year 7 to GCSE. You will deliver engaging programmes designed to help students re-engage with learning and make meaningful academic progress.

Maths and English teaching experience is essential, with Science at GCSE level highly desirable. Most referrals involve 10–15 hours of tuition per student per week, typically during school hours,

Qualifications

• Strong experience teaching secondary Maths and English.
• Two years and more experience with SEN/SEND preferred.
• Enhanced DBS Update Service required or willingness to obtain one.
• Able to work independently in an outreach setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one outreach tuition to secondary learners (Year 7 to GCSE).
• Teach Maths and English confidently across the secondary age range.
• Assess learning needs and plan personalised learning.
• Adapt teaching to SEND profiles and learning styles.
• Monitor progress and maintain records of engagement and achievement.
• Provide feedback to parents, carers, schools and professionals.
• Collaborate with families and other professionals involved in the learner's education.
